MY #BOROMANCAN STORY:

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer about 11 years ago. I had a PSA of 1,300 (normal reading 3-5) and cancer that had spread to my bones in 3 places and to my lungs. I started hormone therapy which was the only treatment available. I also decided to try to fight the disease by making changes to my diet and lifestyle. I stopped eating and drinking all dairy products, all red meat and stopped all alcohol. My PSA today is 1.3 and I am fit active and healthy

“I had been in hospital 3 times over an 18 month period, with chest pains and more. Eventually, a blood test showed problems with his liver. My GP called me in and he told me I had Prostate cancer”. “I was devastated, I wondered if they had the wrong person?”

“Last CT scan was over a year ago and there was only a trace of cancer cells.”

On being asked about his lifestyle choices, “due to side effects of the hormone therapy, I have chosen to eat a super healthy diet and cut out dairy and red meat”. “My advice is for men to think positive, don’t hide anything from your friends and its so much better when you share your problems”.
